Start learning about trades at a younger age, earlier in school.

I strongly promote a diverse workforce to bring a wide range of perspectives and expertise to projects.

I believe that we need to focus in school, starting in the Middle Schools and High Schools, and alllow students to learn about trades then. Our schools systems are set up to send everyone to college, and not everyone wants or is equiped for college. Also, I think we should be getting presents (like christmas and birthdays) toys that boys get, like legos, to start them thinking about building things.

I feel promoting vocational school starting more would be a great option. I do not feel as they are promoted enough. This would defiantly help get people in the trade.

Like many other things, the hope for the future lies in the younger generations overcoming the "obstacles" we put in our own way. Overcoming the preconceived gender norms will be the best step toward more woman in the construction industry in the future.

Promote and value women more in corporate culture every day; not just for awareness week.

I definitely believe it needs to be promoted more within schools that construction is for all genders. We need more skilled people as a whole.

Sharing the opportunities for women in the construction industry should be shared in schools at a younger age, not just in high school/vocational school to help change the way women feel about careers in construction.
