I'm new to the industry and this is the first time I heard about nooses showing up on construction sites around the country after the George Floyd incident. I am shocked. No man or woman should be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

I think it's great that they're specifically targeting the construction industry, as it has been known to face some unique challenges in this area. Hopefully, these guidelines will provide clearer direction and resources for employers to tackle harassment issues head-on. Fingers crossed that we start seeing a positive change soon!

Work ethic is what matters, not race, creed or sex. Buy in from leadership is a must along with comprehensive harassment policies that are strongly enforced. Zero tolerance for harassment!

This needs to be lead by example. From the owners down. Discussed, trained, and only promote foreman and managers that judge workers on their performance, not their gender or race. It will take a while to stomp this out. But positive steps go a long way to change things.

Yes our company has anti- harassment policy in place. Management take a training yearly and workers take it the training every two years. We stay current with the new laws, we have team building training.
