Members also shared their insight on the biggest construction technology trends that are expecting to see in 2022: Insert Image For a more comprehensive overview of the survey results, check out the Construction Trends 2022 here. Like many, I'm surprised by the labor shortages. It's been a continuing trend in the construction industry but it seems that all industries are currently dealing with this issue.

The labor shortages, there are so many people without jobs yet no one wants to show for an interview to even gain employment.

I am almost surprised there are not more folks expecting the contract value to increase, as there is so much money in circulation that we are facing significant inflation. Visiting with a friend he is giving his employees a minimum 7% wage increase just to stay current.

I am surprised Data Accessibility & Mobility is not a higher percentage due to the shift in remote work happening across the world.

Surprised by the ongoing labor and supply shortages; I would hope with so many available job openings that people will want to earn, fill the open jobs, which would go along way to solving the supply shortages.

I believe the results are spot on. The labor shortage could be addressed beginning at the high school level. College is important, but not everyone wants that. The Trades should be an option put in front of our youth. Who's going to fix our buildings, electrical and plumbing, etc. when they start to age? The construction and manufacturing workforce is aging out. It's a little scary right now.

I struggle to understand why there is a labor shortage. It was interesting to see it all put into numbers. Thanks

I am really surprised we are seeing more wide spread issues related to supply chain disruption. I have seen suppliers even cancel existing orders with PO's, hard to believe.

With so many companies having to shut down or reduce their hours due to labor shortage, I am surprised there are so many people that say that they can't find a job. Good jobs are out there if you really want to work.

The labor shortages and supply chain bottlenecks still baffles me. Where did everyone go? I know people decided to change careers and such but by now it should have filled in.
