Commitment for a greener and healthier environment should be for all companies and all individuals as well.

You can't be profitable without a world to live in.

People are going to continue to want their infrastructure cleaner and greener, therefore contractors will adapt to give the customer what they want.

Reinvesting in new technology is the key to balancing sustainability and profitability. Project owners are attracted to construction companies that are using sustainable building practices so more contractors are adopting what they need to stay competitive in the market.

I see a future where buildings and infrastructure are not just created using more environmentally sustainable resources but also created in a resilient manner to avoid constant replacement.

I agree that in the long term sustainability and profitability will go hand in hand. More and more projects will require sustainable materials, less waste, etc. and like any cost, that will need to be built into the bid. I believe in the short term there will most likely be a learning curve which will impact profitability.

Sustainability & Profitability can co-exist. Companies who update their business model with ESG principles can potentially attract top talent and effective marketing, leading to a more successful business model.

This should be an obvious choice now. We all need to choose sustainable programs that can exist within our profitability goals. It's not one or the other but a choice for that supports the long-term goals. Otherwise, the results become short-term.

Construction is one of the biggest if not THE biggest contributers to environmental issues. As responsible businesses we owe it to the communities we serve to invest in our environment. Investing in sustainable efforts will, in the long run, make everyone more profitable.

Companies who sustain long term environmental health will increase profitability by being more attractive to certain customers and or employees.
