When using Asset and Map in in Work Order Activity Templates I'd like to map the work order comments to a text "comments" field in our GIS.

When using Asset and Map in in Work Order Activity Templates I'd like to map the work order comments to a text "comments" field in our GIS. Can anyone explain which drop down option for work order fields corresponds to the comments section of the general tab?

    Hello Cesar

     

    We store comments in a separate table due to the fact that they essentially have unlimited character limits. Currently we do not have a way to map asset updates to this related comment table. I'm not sure if we could open that field up for this function due to the fact that there could potentially be a million characters or more in a comment if someone wanted to.

    Thanks for the fast response Chris, this makes total sense and pending this response I created a work order custom field option for comments to map to the GIS comments. Thanks!
