How do I create an event layer in Cityworks 23? I want to select a specific cluster of work orders from a group of work orders in a saved query to assign to a specific field crew.

    Thanks Matt and ChatGPT...

The answer was proved. I am sharing for others who might have same or similar question:

How to Select Records from an Event Layer in Cityworks Respond

Step 1: Open the Event Layers Tool

    1. In the Respond map, open the Event Layers tool.

Step 2: Ensure Your Query Appears in the List

    1. If your desired event layer query does not appear:
      • Use the eURL tool to add the query first.
      • This tool can be found in the side menu, under the Support link.
      • Once added, the query will now show up in the Event Layers tool.

    Step 3: Enable Selectability

    1. Go to the Legend tool in the Respond map.
      • Find your event layer.
      • Ensure the layer is marked as selectable (checkbox must be checked).

Step 4: Select Features on the Map

    1. Use the selection tool in the map toolbar to click and select features (records) from your event layer.

Step 5: View and Open Selected Records

    1. After selection:
      • Open the Asset Details tool in the side menu.
      • It will display the list of selected records.
      • You can then click to open and view each record from this panel.
