Has anyone been able to develop a Payment Receipt Active Report for PLL which sends when a payment is made on a case?

I'm trying to configure an Active report to send when a payment is added to the case.

I have been able to create the report which works in the report designer previewer, and I've been able to create the PLL notification trigger to send the email when a payment is added to the case.

The report is designed that when a payment is added to the case, it will populate with the details of that Payment & Case where the PermitId = CA_OBJECT_ID and ReceiptId = CA_RECEIPT_ID so that only the line items matching both will populate.

This is to prevent all payments being populated on the receipt, if the case has multiple payments, and it also is to prevent multiple cases being populated on one report (in a case where a single ReceiptId touches multiple cases.

The issue I'm running into is that a parameter I have created in active reports is not being populated when the payment is added, which then cause the report not to generate, which prevents the email from sending.

For those interested I've attached the query, and the parameter settings in Active reports are as follows:

PermitId - String

ReceiptId - String

I believe the ReceiptId parameter is not working when the email is triggered, but I have no idea how to troubleshoot it.

Any advise, tips, or resources would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Jared, did you ever get this solved?

    Yes and No!

    I was able to create the report, and it would trigger fine, but we were experiencing some active reports issues in 23.10 and couldn't reliably guarantee that active reports would be working when the email would send.

    The method we used in the query was this

    select * FROM AZTECA.CA_PAYMENT_VW P

    where P.CA_RECEIPT_ID =

    (Select MAX(P.CA_RECEIPT_ID) From AZTECA.CA_PAYMENT_VW P Where P.CA_OBJECT_ID = @PermitID)

    This condition uses the following logic:

    The Active reports parameter is @PermitID which uses the Permit ID of the case triggering the notification.

    This version of the query selects all fields from the CA_Payment_VW where the receipt ID is the largest (newest) receipt ID with the appropriate permit ID.

    This way, if the case has more than 1 receipt associated with it, it always grabs the data from the newest one.

    The notification setup we used for this was

    Condition = Payment !=0

    Source/Table/Table Field/Operator/Value

    System Table/CA_PAYMENT/PAYMENT_AMOUNT/!=/0

    Action = Case Payment Add

    Then we set our recipients up and added in the active report template.

    Hope this helps!
