GIS Feature Query - Dashboard or Map?

Good Day!

We flush hydrants every year and use inspections to track the process. Hydrants must be flushed in a specific order. I have create 48 GIS Feature queries in Respond 5.8, representing each flush day, shift and flushing group.

I would like for our staff to be a able to select a given search result set (of hydrants) from a map and create inspections for them. Using those 48 different searches (which will probably get combined into fewer searches, depending).

I tried eURLs but it looks like those require case, work order, inspection, etc. I tried a dashboard widget (map), same deal.

Short of just setting up a new map service/layers that end-users can view/select each group any thoughts?

I would rather our user not have to go into Advanced query and execute the query..seems cumbersome.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Will users always be selecting all hydrants in the search result? Or would they need to pick specific hydrants within the serach result spatially? If they typically select all hydrants in each search result, then you could create a dashboard Table widget, one for each saved query/search. Users could then easily select all hydrants and create work activities off of them.

    Agatha,

And that is a good reason to post to forums! Never thought of a table widget. I got stuck on the map thing. Made a dashboard with the table widget, and added show on map (because maps are pretty ha!). Worked like a charm.

    Thank you!
