Citywork Respond 11.41.12 does not include Designer, which is required to configure and display Crystal Reports. The legacy reports still work in the old version, but i can’t replicate them in Respond without enabling Designer in the new version. Hel

To the best of my knowledge Responds does not support Crystal Reports. You'll need to run the reports from Office or Office Companion. Respond (I'm not sure about your version, we're running Respond 5.8, Build 17.5.0) which now supports ActiveReports, so you'll need to convert or keep running the CR reports from Office. Good Luck!

I believe you are correct that Respond 4.3 does not support ActiveReports (nor does it support Crystal Report). We just migrated from that version, but I never migrated our staff from Office even though Respond was available to them.

You will not be able to completely migrate from Office 15.X to the Respond environment if you want to maintain the ability to use Crystal Reports, or ActiveReports for that matter. You will always have to open up Office to print reports which was the main reason I didn't migrate our users. You can always run a standalone Crystal Reports application outside of Cityworks/Respond, but I don't think that's a real option for users.

To meet your objective, if I understand you correctly, you should investigate moving to the Cityworks 23.X application platform (Respond/Admin/Style...) since ActiverReports is supported (if this is an option for you of course). Install both Cityworks 23 and Office Companion. This will allow you to keep your users in the Office environment that they are used to while you build your Cityworks 23 dashboards, user profiles and migrate your reports. FYI - if you have built the dashboard and profiles already they seem to migrate just fine. When complete you can move your users over to the Cityworks 23.X environment in a phased approach. This is the process I'm currently using to migrate our users away from Office. The goal is to ultimately shutdown Office Companion completely.

I hope this helps a little.

Thank you for this. I am using Respond 4.3, Build 17?.?144?.?15?. I am not sure this version supports ActiveReports. So, there was a migration from a legacy version(Cityworks 15.8.9) to this higher version. the idea is to be able to migrate every process to this newer version(Cityworks 17.144.15.) Whenever i open office, it takes me to the legacy version(Cityworks15.8.9) which is not my objective for our reports and other things related to cityworks operation.
