Fire Dampers Families in version 11.15

Hello,

According to what's new in version 11.15 (see 11.15 news) families now are type based (for a rectangular fire damper family there are several types, a type refers to their size)

 

In the previous version I had (probably 11.09) fire dampers where actually type based (see v11.09)

 

In the version 11.15 fire damper families are not anymore the same (see 11.15(1) and 11.15(2)). In addition to that, calculation in version 11.15 doesn't supports anymore fire dampers from the old version in most of the cases and a replace of the family is necessary in order to perform the calculation.

    Some of the families were already type based but not all of them. In the Whats new you can also read that another change is made to the families: "Families comply with EMCS 3.0...". This causes the change in the name of the families. Please look for the article called "Consequences of new EMCS 3.0 certified parametric families in existing Revit projects" to learn how this change impacts your ongoing projects.
