Please help me with this Stabicad for Autocad topic: How can I extract the information stored in Element Properties? Why to introduce them if you are not able to get them back? Thank you.

Stabicad for Autocad stores Data as extended entity data as many third party applications do, this is simply needed because of limitation with attributes not being bi-directional with the block, and giving a much higher level of comfort and speed by creating an application on top of a datamodel which is Database-driven This database with materials for example is also maintained, so its impossible to draw something not being constructable for example.

With Stabicad all data stored in elements is also reachable, in forms of legends, lists, Reports, Extracts, etc...

In Revit we comply to the Autodesk-rules by creating the best of both worlds, because the platform is already driven by a data-model, this is possible.

    Dear Sir,

Thank you very much for your answer.

We use to work in Revit, but there are certain projects required to be done in Stabicad for Autocad. For these projects I am not able to find/extract the objects/symbols parameters introduced with Stabicad for Autocad. Could you please help me? Or give me a hint where, or how to start?

    Kind regards,

    Dan
